Iwona’s impact at Unity Plus

Since joining the agency in 2023 as a credit controller, Iwona‘s role has rapidly evolved. Iwona has been instrumental in reducing our debtors from £2m to £1m in just six months, providing us with the stability needed to expand into new business areas.

This stability has been crucial as we broaden our focus beyond healthcare, entering sectors such as health, safety, and social care training, where Iwona now oversees the production of management accounts.

Iwona’s willingness to perform her tasks to the best of her abilities, ask questions, and listen continues to inspire us to ensure she achieves her career goals.  Witnessing the progression Iwona has made in the 20 months she has been employed with us has made me want to invest more time and energy into developing more of our team in areas they choose.

Iwona is set to continue her journey towards becoming a chartered accountant, further contributing to our financial leadership in the industry.

Supporting our staff to achieve

This achievement reflects our company philosophy of ‘Supporting you to Achieve,’ which we embed across the entire organisation. By investing in our team’s growth, we ensure that both our employees and our company thrive together.

We have now partnered with an external training provider to ensure that more staff members have the opportunity to pursue recognised qualifications. Five staff members are currently undergoing further training.

We are one of the only agencies in the UK that offer Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression (PMVA) training. PMVA training teaches staff how to respond to violent situations safely, improves de-escalation skills, recognises early warning signs of potentially violent situations, and helps to create safer and more supportive environments.
