How long have you been at Unity Plus?

I’ve been with Unity Plus since October 2020.

Tell us about your career history?

After school, I cut my teeth running nightclubs around the UK. I quickly discovered my knack for training and leading teams.

While I enjoyed the energy, I wanted to channel my skills into something more meaningful, helping people in a deeper way, which led me to healthcare (proof that sometimes the most unexpected beginnings shape our true career paths)!

Combining my business degree with this newfound passion, I transitioned into healthcare recruitment, where I could make a real difference. That journey naturally evolved into training, where I now focus on developing and empowering the incredible workforce at Unity Plus.

What qualifications do you hold?

– BA (Hons) Business and Human Resource Management.

– TQUK Level 3 Award in Adult Education and Training.

– EDI Level 4 NVQ in Management, NCFE Certificates in Mental Health Conditions, Common Health Conditions, and Adult Social Care.

– I am also one year away from graduating as a Registered Adult Nurse!

Chelsie’s Responsibilities

Shape the learning journey of our workforce. This means organising and delivering training programs that equip our staff with the skills, confidence, and knowledge to provide outstanding care.

Work closely with our team to ensure compliance with industry standards, and create pathways for career growth.

Help build a motivated, skilled, and compassionate team that can deliver the high-quality care Unity Plus is known for.

How does your role support Unity Plus’ mission?

As Training and Development Manager, I play a key role in bringing Unity Plus’ mission, “Supporting You to Achieve”, to life. Every training session is an opportunity to inspire confidence, build skill, and spark professional growth.

By developing a workforce that’s not just qualified but genuinely motivated, we help ensure our clients receive care that’s not only safe and compliant but also compassionate and empowering.

It’s about creating a culture where both staff and service users are set up to succeed.

What are your hobbies?

My hobbies include travelling, festivals, and hiking.

Fun fact…I used to be a professional dancer, and I cannot ride a bike!
