How long have you been at Unity Plus?
I have been with Unity Plus since March 2021.
Tell us about your career history.
I have been the Senior Finance Officer for a number of small/medium-sized companies since 1998.
The roles were in various commercial sectors, including engineering, haulage, car sales, bodyshop repairs, and retail.
During these roles, I gained extensive experience in producing accounts, translating them into actionable information for senior managers to make more informed decisions, and leveraging opportunities to resolve problems. The majority of the resulting outcomes can be applied to different sectors.
What qualifications do you hold?
I have an HND in Business Studies and Finance and qualified as a member of the Certified Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) in 1997.
How does your role support Unity Plus’ mission?
Unity Plus aims to grow, provide quality care, and support people in achieving their goals. My role supports these ambitions by ensuring the company has sufficient funds to invest in training and development.

What are your hobbies?
My hobbies are rugby and pool. I was captain of the local pool team, which gained promotion to the top League of the Keighley and District Pool league, which has 5 divisions. We also won the secondary cup.
