How long have you been at Unity Plus?

I joined Unity Plus in August 2024.

Tell us about your career history?

Before joining Unity Plus, I spent three years as a Support Services Manager for a nursing home.

I began as a Support Services Supervisor and advanced to a management position. I truly enjoyed the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of those who needed it most.

During this time, I gained a deep understanding of the importance of delivering outstanding care to vulnerable individuals.

Nathan’s Responsibilities

Although my current role does not involve direct care, I’ve always remembered this advice from a previous manager: “Before anything, you are a carer.” 

With this in mind, I am committed to maintaining strong relationships with healthcare professionals and care managers from other organisations.

I believe that through effective communication and by openly exchanging feedback, we can gain valuable insights to continuously improve our services and ensure we always provide the best possible care.

What are your hobbies?

My hobbies include staying active and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. My wife and I also love taking walks around the Peak District. Occasionally, I get together with friends for a game night where we play board games or try an escape room.

Writing this made me think about my gymnastics training days and how much I used to love it. I even believe I can still do a backflip!

I want to express my sincere appreciation for the Unity Plus team. I truly believe that the people working here are some of the most dedicated, hardworking, and committed individuals I have ever had the pleasure of working with.
