Supported Living Team Leader
Alex came to Unity Plus with eight years of experience working initially as a Care Assistant and then as a Nursing Assistant. He was in the first cohort of Nursing Assistants recognised by the NHS and worked as a Nursing Assistant in the private sector for six years before joining Unity Plus as a Compliance Officer.
Having now worked with Unity Plus since 2019, Alex has been promoted to Business Development Manager to help the company spread its philosophy to other care homes.

I’ve been at Unity Plus since December 2019.
Tell us about your career history?
With nearly five years of dedicated service at Unity Plus, I bring both frontline experience and leadership skills to my role as Team Leader and Business Development Manager.
My journey in care began as a Nursing Assistant in the UK, a role I held for six years before joining Unity Plus. This hands-on experience gave me a deep understanding of the challenges and needs faced by both clients and staff – an understanding that continues to shape my approach today.
What qualifications do you hold?
I have a UK Nursing Assistant Qualification.
Alex’s Responsibilities
At Unity Plus, I lead care teams, support strategic growth, and ensure that our services are delivered with compassion, quality, and professionalism.
I work closely with management to drive business development, build strong partnerships, and oversee day-to-day operations, making sure everything we do remains person-centred and aligned with our values.
How does your role support Unity Plus’ mission?
My role directly supports Unity Plus’ mission by improving service quality, expanding access to care, and fostering a supportive, respectful environment.
What are your hobbies?
Outside of work, I’m passionate about the forex market, cryptocurrency, and emerging technologies. I constantly stay informed on trends and innovations, applying that knowledge to strategic thinking and problem-solving in my professional life.
I strongly believe that nothing can truly be achieved without trust in God. Faith gives me strength and clarity, especially during challenging moments. It guides my decisions and inspires me to lead with patience, integrity, and purpose.
