How long have you been at Unity Plus?
I joined Unity Plus in November 2021.
Tell us about your career history?
I have previously worked as a Pharmacy Advisor and Dispenser, which provided me with experience working in a patient-facing role and managing medications.
I then worked as a Rehabilitation Support Worker, providing support to individuals with acquired brain injuries before joining Unity Plus as a Support Worker. I then worked my way up to being a Team Leader!
What qualifications do you hold?
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and have a Master’s degree in Cognition and Neuroscience. I have also completed the Care Certificate as part of my training in support work.
Nicole’s Responsibilities.
The main responsibility of being a Team Leader is supporting the staff teams in delivering high-quality, person-centred care to our service users.
I monitor, audit, and adjust the support given to meet CQC regulations. I complete regular supervisions and meetings with the staff teams to ensure they receive the direction and support they require.
How does your role support Unity Plus’ mission?
My role plays a key part in ensuring our staff are equipped with the necessary skills, support, and guidance to meet our mission statement, which includes providing person-centred care and “Supporting you to Achieve”.
I provide in-house visits to my clients and staff, tailored to their individual needs, on a minimum of a monthly basis, to facilitate communication between service management and care delivery.

What are your hobbies?
I enjoy pottery and ceramics, painting, and other work around the arts in my spare time.
My interesting fact is that I can’t walk through airport security without setting off the alarm! This always causes a delay, which infuriates my boyfriend!
