Cook – North Yorkshire

We are looking for passionate, dedicated, and experienced cooks to join our growing team across the North Yorkshire region.

In this rewarding role, you’ll work with vulnerable individuals, supporting them to live as independently and fully as possible. Whether in nursing homes or care homes, you’ll be part of a compassionate team that is committed to providing outstanding care.

Your role will include:

✔ Preparing and cooking fresh meals to a high standard

✔ Awareness of COSHH, Health and Safety, and Food Hygiene regulations

✔ Ensuring Food hygiene and Safety standards are met

✔ Maintaining a clean and tidy kitchen

✔ Leading and motivating a team

✔ Working alongside management in the care home in all matters relating to the kitchen and welfare of the residents

✔ Complete Audits

✔ Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records

✔ Stock Control

Pay and hours

Pay –  £18.00 – £21.00 per hour

Pension contributions – 3% Pension contribution paid by Unity Plus when you opt in.

Flexible shifts available – Day/Night, Weekdays/Weeknights/Weekends 

Expected hours –  6–48 per week

An up-to-date Food Safety Level 3 Certificate…

demonstrating your credentials for the role.
